  • Assisted the teaching team for the class “From Play to Innovation” at the d.school.

  • Acted as a liaison for students, teaching team members, and faculty at the d.school.

  • Coached D.School students on their design projects in order to act as a conduit between faculty and students.

  • Co-taught a four-session popup class called Redesigning the News Ecosystem.

  • Implemented a design project on understanding the experience of introverts at the D.School.

CITYterm at the Masters School, Dobbs Ferry, NY

July 2011 - June 2014

Math Teacher

  • Designed and taught three to four math classes per semester, based on the curriculum of students’ sending school math classes in Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, and AP Calculus BC.

  • Corresponded with sending school math teachers to ensure students were prepared to return to their sending school classes.

CITYterm Faculty & Residential Advisor

  • Designed curriculum for the Urban Core, a three-credit, interdisciplinary course that blends history, literature and the urban environment. Co-taught units on Tim O’Brien’s The Things They Carried, NYC’s waterfronts and the Brooklyn Bridge.

  • Engaged in a professional development project each year, including one on the efficacy of the Flipped Classroom in math classes.

  • Served as primary advisor for 2-4 students a semester, communicating with parents and students about their cognitive and academic growth.

  • Co-chaired the Consequence Committee, a group of students and faculty that deals with disciplinary actions.

  • Supervised students as on-duty faculty member for 5–10 days a month, including coordination of student trips into NYC.

Administrative – Finance Coordinator and Registrar

  • Acted as liaison between CITYterm and the Masters School Business Office.

  • Managed CITYterm’s credit card bills, petty cash and invoices.

  • Coordinated mid-semester and end of term reporting process with CITYterm’s Director by preparing, editing and sending comments and transcripts to students, parents and schools.
